HABITAT FOR HUMANITY SERVICE PROJECT
Saturday, October 1; 8:30am - 3:30pm
We will be working with the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity this year. We'll start out the morning on Saturday, October 1, bright and early as we board the bus at 8:00am. We can accommodate up to 12 volunteers. We hope that you'll join us and participate in this program and help us to leave the Cleveland area a little better than we found it, while networking and getting to know your fellow ASLRRA members better. Later that evening, we'll hold a small thank you reception for the service project participants.
No prior construction experience is required. We will meet in the hotel lobby and our bus will depart the hotel at 8:00am and return by 3:30pm. A fee of $30 is requested to help defray the cost of breakfast, lunch, and transportation to and from the worksites. Your clothes will get dirty, so we plan to provide t-shirts to all participants. Volunteers should wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe and closed-heel footwear. Bring a water bottle (Habitat will have water jugs to refill your bottle.) Habitat will supply necessary tools, but you can bring some basic tools with you if possible: work gloves, tool belt, Hammer, tape measure, pencil, etc.
Please plan to participate in this important project. So we can give Habitat a number of attendees, please sign up by September 18.
Fee: $30 per person (This fee will help us to cover the cost of lunch, refreshments, and transportation to the work site as well as a nifty T-shirt.)
