The ASLRRA's mission and function makes two-way communication with our membership crucial. This is achieved in a number of ways:
Newsletters
Regular communications allow ASLRRA members to keep abreast of changes and trends that facilitate the operation of Class II and III railroads.
Views & News
A bi-weekly e-newsletter that provides members with important information concerning all aspects of the short line and regional railroad industry, including legislative and regulatory updates, car movement data, and meeting information.
Safety Bulletin
A bi-monthly e-newsletter that focuses on current information needed to maintain the high safety level of the railroad industry. The Safety Bulletin contains up-to-date injury data, safety defect data, information on available training, and key tips on running a safe railroad.
Railway Age Article
ASLRRA contributes a bi-monthly article to Railway Age magazine that presents the Class II and III perspective to the entire railroad industry on a diverse set of topics.
Website
The ASLRRA website provides a window on the important news that pertains to members and suppliers as it happens.
Meeting Updates
All the latest information about all ASLRRA meetings can be found on the website, whether it is the annual convention, one of our three region meetings, or specialized conferences such as the Safety and Operations Conference, or the Railroad Liability Conference.
Member Press Releases
The Hot Tracks segment of the website allows ASLRRA members to inform the membership of new services provided, new acquisitions or personnel changes, and other important information that keeps the railroad industry running smoothly.
Classified Ads
For only $300 per year or $30 per month, ASLRRA members may run a classified ad on our website. This is especially useful if you have equipment you would like to buy, or would simply like to advertise your services.
E-Marketplace
The ASLRRA website can quickly sort any service request that you have. Simply search for the service on the website, and you will get a list of associate members that provide the service in question. You have an option to then request a bid from all or some of those members.
Members Website
All ASLRRA members have access to our members' website, which provides an insider's view of the association on a variety of fronts. These include: meeting registration, a member directory, committee minutes, regulatory information, and presentations from our numerous meetings.
